Uma-jirushi is literally horse insignia. It was used in battlefield to identify the daimyo and provides a rallying point on the battle. Smooth and mirro-like black iron quality seizes aesthetic eyes of collectors immediately. This tsuba is papered as Edo Akao from the NBTHK.
