This is huge Akasaka tsuba. It has a diameter of 9.5cm (3.75") and 5.5mm-thick. Excellent openwork of Akasaka tsuba showing crane husband and wife. Two shakudo inserts to protect hitsu-ana. Gorgeous chocolate iron color and no disconnection. Made in Edo era.
