Akasaka Tadayoshi

This is another beautiful Shiguretei akasaka tsuba made by Tadayoshi. His signed piece is quite rare. Refer to the book, Ikina Sukashi Akasaka Tsuba, pp.108-109. Tadayoshi was the son of the famous Tadashige and high skillful craftman. Some of Tadashige's tsuba, in his old age, are believed to be made by Tadayoshi.

The Shiguretei is one of the best themes in Akasaka tsuba and hard to find in market. The open-work is very delicate and exhibits excellent layout.  Accompanies the NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho paper issued in 1967. Katana size of 80 mm X 76mm, and 5mm-thick.
