Very popular and famous design of crane in Higo tsuba. Papered as a Nishigaki from the NBTHK. Most of these kinds of tsuba are appraised as Godai (Later generations) Nishigaki once submitted to the NBTHK but this is not! This tsuba is very well made early piece of Nishigaki school in Higo. No problem to get the Tokubetsu Hozon paper once it's submitted one more. The color of iron is gorgeous black and kuchibeni (sekigane) is made of silver. This tsuba was pretty beloved by the previous owner. 75mm X 72mm X 5.6mm.
