Hizen Kugimoto Tsuba


Kaneiye is the Masamune of tsuba. He worked from the late Muromachi to Momoyama period. His quiet and peaceful work begins to get its highlight in Edo period. Usually, Kaneiye school tsuba shows better quality for unsigned work rather than 99% Gimei signed tsuba. This tsuba is attributed by Hizen Kugimoto called Hizen Kaneiye and papered Hozon from the NBTHK.  Made in Edo. Very peaceful work showing the fishman on the river. Big 8.2cm (3.25") diamenter and thickness is 4mm.  Wood case included.
